The property is located on a recently built plot near the city. The exterior space already shows some character, although it needs consolidation and adaptation to the owners’ needs.
The intervention should include the creation of a minimalist garden design adapted to the site conditions; a deck near the house to serve as a sunbathing area for the pool and to support a dining area; and the planting of aromatic shrub vegetation. Existing trees should be preserved.
The project aims to preserve pre-existing elements while creating functional conditions and aesthetic environments. It intends to highlight the character of the place, namely the sandy soil and local vegetation. This will result in a beach-like environment, with organic shrubbery emerging from the sand, and a swimming pool… Simultaneously, distinct functional areas will be defined, visually coherent with each other, making the space more pleasant and comfortable. By forming a continuum around the house, they will improve interior/exterior connections and impact the accessibility of the space.
A deck is proposed that will formalize three functional areas around the house, as well as the access between them and between this area and the property entrance. The leisure area to the south functions as an extension of the living room, protected by a tensioned structure and marked by the presence of a pre-existing pine tree. Outdoor furniture can be placed here to enjoy a view over the sandy garden punctuated by shrubbery. Adjacent to the side facade and connected to the pool, a sunbathing area will be created with sun loungers and side tables. This area will serve as an external link between the other proposed functional areas, ensuring that the space remains accessible via the sand. At the back of the house, between the barbecue and the access to the kitchen, a dining area will be defined. This area will be more intimate, surrounded by Mediterranean shrub vegetation. The paving will connect this area to the pre-existing road access and, consequently, to the main entrance of the house, facilitating access around the house.
